The problem
The homeowners had lots of space in the master bedroom, filled with a myriad of storage equipment that did not meet the their needs. So their belongings were scattered everywhere. They had a huge collection, but still kept buying new items because they could not see what they had, due to the haphazard piles of clutter.
Their collection consisted of:

Clothing - from summer to winter, from inner to outer wear.

Bags - from purses, clutches and totes to weekenders and luggages.

Jewellery - probably sufficient to rival Queen Elizabeth's.

Shoes - from sandals and flats to heels, informal and formal.

Beauty products - for every part of the body, probably enough to last until 2015 and beyond.
Almost everything was kept in boxes, hidden from view. As a result, it was difficult to see, let alone retrieve and use the items that were needed.
The apartment had very tall ceilings, which could have been better utilized. And while the space was large, it was mostly taken up by things, or occupied by a mish-mash of storage equipment (some of which were quite fancy).
The solution

We repurposed existing furniture in the home to create a shoe storage space outside the apartment, to keep the bedroom free from shoe odor.
We repurposed existing furniture to create an area for guests to put on and take off shoes before entering the home. Now the area looks inviting and welcoming.
We created a storage wall, to hold all the bags, jewellery, winter clothing and extra bottles of beauty product. Instead of running around previously and wasting time to locate the items they needed, the homeowners now have a central location to go to.
Instead of the bags being squished together in a pile, we created a storage wall for them. It is now easy easy to see, select and try out different options when getting ready for the day or for the evening.
Previously the homeowners had all sorts of fancy storage containers for their necklaces. Since the room was rather large and there was a large wall space just outside the walk-in closet, we decided to put up an accessories panel. It was both functional (keeping all necklaces in view) and decorative at the same time. The jewellery were art pieces in their own right, so it is only appropriate that they be displayed in this manner.
Previously, there was jewellery everywhere, spilling out of the drawers. Now every piece has a home which makes sense, and the homeowners know where to set everything down before they go to bed at the end of the day. Just seeing the organized collection makes us happy too!
We created a vanity area, with a mirror, so that the homeowners can have a proper place to sit while getting ready for the day or night. We also carved out storage niches in the vanity table for the different types of beauty products, so that they will no longer be lost among the massive collection.
Now there is no more miscellaneous items cluttering up the window area. It creates the calm environment that the homeowners need to unwind at the end of the day. The luggages, toys, jewellery and bags have found homes away from dust and sun damage. There is now nowhere for bugs and dust to hide, and the windows can be closed easily if the rain comes.
